An OCP amendment and rezoning application has been received for the properties at 3101-3103 St. Johns Street, 3104-3112 St. George Street, 123-129 Buller Street and a portion of the St. Andrews Street right-of-way. The applicant would like to amend the OCP for a portion of the site to increase the maximum building height fronting St. George Street from three to six storeys, and to rezone the overall site to allow for two six-storey buildings (one mixed-use building fronting St. Johns Street and one residential apartment building fronting St. George Street).
This proposal includes:
Two buildings containing a total of 197 units (112 one-bedroom, 76 two-bedroom, and 9 three-bedroom units)
Six non-market housing units at shelter rates to be operated by a non-profit organization
44 market rental units
Dedicated daycare space to be operated by a non-profit organization
Additional commercial retail space
A total of 304 parking spaces (241 residential spaces, 37 visitor spaces, 16 spaces dedicated for the childcare space, and 10 commercial retail spaces)

On June 28, 2022, Council gave third reading to the OCP amendment and rezoning bylaws. The applicant can now proceed with the next steps in the development application review process, including finalizing the housing agreements, development permits, and road closure.
